Your surgeon will have tried to do their best for you but sometimes there may have been infection or delayed healing or perhaps a misunderstanding in potential expectations or outcome. More commonly we have noticed that anatomical variations may not have been identified or pointed out and this can sometimes confuse outcomes and expectations.
Mr Banwell regularly sees patients who have had previous surgeries and may be looking for minor adjustments and/or correction.
We can perform scar revisions, asymmetry procedures and surgeries for both the labia minora and labia majora as well as fat grafting if required.

Please ensure that you are well hydrated and avoid copious amounts of alcohol 72 hours prior to surgery. You should refrain from smoking or using nicotine in vapes 6 weeks prior to surgery and please do not take any supplements of any kind in the week leading up to surgery
If you are staying overnight, please do bring music, magazines, kindle or books as required and well as a change of (loose) clothing and wash bag.
Mr Banwell will go through the risks and complications of surgery with you in detail. In revisional surgery, lowering expectations is especially vital. The usual complications of scarring, adverse scarring, bleeding, infection, wound problems, asymmetry, pain, dyspareunia, suture issues, dehiscence, clitoral damage, sensitivity and dissatisfaction can occur
It is important to lay flat for at least 72 hours especially for revisional cases unless told otherwise by Mr Banwell and his team. You will be told when you can shower, etc. Using a hairdryer on a warm setting may be useful after showering. You will be seen in dressing clinic by the nurse at week 1 then by Mr Banwell at week 2 and regularly thereafter.
The fees for surgery will be quoted by Mr Banwell’s team and will include the following:
