Wellbeing and biohacking options range from simple lifestyle tweaks to more experimental interventions. At the foundation of biohacking though are things we have been recommended for years – sleep optimisation, good nutrition, regular exercise and stress management.

Sleep

Sleep is a performance tool. We recommend tracking sleep with wearables, using blue light blocking, consistency in sleep/wake times and pre-bed routines to improve deep and REM sleep.

Nutrition

Whilst it does not resonate with all people consider intermittent fasting, low carb or ketogenic diets, time-restricted eating and glucose monitoring to stabilise energy, manage weight and optimise metabolic health.

Exercise & Movement

We strongly recommend regular strength training, cardiovascular and HIIT training but also mobility/stretching regimes such as yoga, pilates or Reformer. These can also be guided by heart rate monitoring or VO2-based metrics.

Focus on cognitive & emotional wellbeing too

There are many approaches in this sphere. Mindfulness and breathwork is very useful to improve focus and regulate stress. Meditation Apps, guided breathing such as box breathing or Wim Hof methods are all popular. Likewise cold and heath exposure using ice baths, cold showers and saunas influence circulation, stress resilience and recovery (following intense exercise).

Supplements & Nootropics

We are big fans of targeted supplements. Vitamins, minerals, creatine, Omegas 3,6 & 9, adaptogens and congnitive enhancers such as Nootropics can be used to improve energy and support mood and brain function

In particular we recommend NAD+ precursors, CoEnzyme Q (ubiquinol), PQQ (pyrroquinolone), ALA (alpha-lipoic acid), creatine, L-carnitine,magnesium and B-vitamin complexes.
