Treatments — Breast & Skin
Dr Paul believes in pushing the boundaries and he has been committed to advancing patient care throughout his medical career.
A constant desire for excellence is at the heart of his practice.
Whilst modern enlargement, lifting and reduction techniques are now common-place, he believes there is another dimension that has not been addressed adequately over the years. The breast SKIN!

When performing any breast enhancement procedure we need to consider the three main pillars of breast tissue volume, breast shape and chest wall anatomy. He believes we should also focus on a fourth dimension ie. the breast skin. He is the first in the world to pioneer this 4th pillar of breast enhancement and develop a variety of protocols utilising the very latest regenerative technologies from Korea and from around the world to help improve breast skin
Dr Paul has performed thousands of breast enhancement surgeries and over the years he has chatted to his patients at length. One of the biggest concerns voiced is about improving their breast skin quality as a result of ageing, weight loss as well as hormonal or pregnancy changes. Dr Paul is therefore pioneering regenerative treatments for the improvement of breast skin.
Dr Paul has curated an exclusive array of regenerative technologies for his patients and a variety of treatment protocols can be included in any of the breast procedures Dr Paul offers. Please ask the team for details.
Dr Paul is delighted to use an innovative new treatment in breast enhancement surgery. Genesis Prime uses two complementary technologies—radiofrequency (RF) and red LED light—to rejuvenate the skin at different depths.
Radiofrequency delivers controlled heat into the deeper dermal layers without injuring the surface. This thermal effect stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, tightens existing collagen fibres, and gradually improves dermal thickness and firmness. Over a series of treatments, this leads to mild skin tightening, improvement in skin quality, a reduction in crepiness and an overall improvement in elasticity and texture, particularly for mild to moderate laxity in the breast.
Red LED light works more superficially and at the cellular level. Wavelengths in the red spectrum are absorbed by structures in the mitochondria (the power units of cells), boosting cellular energy (ATP) and enhancing collagen synthesis closer to the skin’s surface. At the same time, red light has anti-inflammatory effects, helping to reduce redness, calm irritation, and accelerate wound healing and post-procedure recovery. Clinically, this translates into more even tone and texture of the breast skin with essentially no downtime.
Used together, RF and red LED light support each other’s actions: RF provides deeper structural re-modelling and tightening, while red LED promotes collagen production in the upper layers, reduces inflammation, and speeds healing. The combined effect is improved firmness and elasticity, smoother texture and pores, and a more uniform, radiant appearance to the breast skin with minimal disruption to daily activities.
Jalupro is an exciting skin booster treatment that utilises a special combination of peptides and amino acids together with the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market. It is specifically designed to improve overall skin health, stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. By improving the quality of the skin, Jalupro helps to reduce signs of ageing for facial skin but Dr Paul has now been using this extremely effectively for treating breast skin too. The treatment therefore acts as an effective dermal collagen booster, improving skin texture, adding plumpness and reducing any crepiness of breast skin.
For patients exploring another refined way to restore their breast skin, Rejuran is a groundbreaking approach with firm roots in regenerative science. Powered by cutting edge PDRN () technology derived from salmon sperm, this highly innovative Korean treatment has wowed the aesthetic industry with its ‘glass skin’ results. This treatment does not work on the surface , it works on a cellular level to repair, hydrate and revitalise a next-generation, non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment derived from highly purified salmon DNA, which closely mimics human DNA for maximum biocompatibility.
The star ingredient, PDRN, is celebrated for accelerating cellular regeneration, enhancing fibroblast activity, and promoting natural collagen synthesis, all while calming inflammation and reinforcing the skin barrier.
Unlike conventional injectables that fill or paralyze, Rejuran encourages your skin to heal from the inside out. It’s ideal for:
Quantum Molecular Resonance (QMR) is a medical technology that applies high-frequency, low-energy electrical currents to living tissue. Outside of surgery, it is promoted mainly for “bio-stimulation” of the skin and underlying tissues, with the aim of supporting healing and regeneration and Dr Paul has embraced this technology to enhance healing of his post-operative patients. He is also pioneering pre-operative optimisation as part of his specially designed recovery programmes.
In non-surgical aesthetics and wound care, QMR is typically delivered through surface or transcutaneous electrodes placed on the skin in the operated area. The electrical signals are in the megahertz range but use very low voltages and currents. According to manufacturers and some early studies, these currents are intended to interact with cell membranes and molecular bonds in a way that influences cellular behaviour without producing significant heating nor pain.
The proposed biological effects focus on several aspects of tissue repair. First, QMR is claimed to stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and other components of the extracellular matrix. By enhancing fibroblast activity, QMR is said to support the formation of new collagen, elastin, and ground substance, potentially improving dermal structure and the quality of regenerated tissue. Second, there is a suggested effect on local microcirculation. By improving blood flow in the treated area, QMR may increase the delivery of oxygen and nutrients and assist in the removal of metabolic by-products, which could favour a more efficient healing environment. It is likely there are also significant impacts on microcellular activity such as mitochondrial function.
The pinnacle of breast skin treatment can be performed independently or incorporated with breast augmentation or mastopexy surgery. Fat is the most potent source of stem cells in the body and Dr Paul has been using fat transfer for his composite breast augmentations for many years. The quality and texture of skin can improve significantly with this technique but it should be noted that it is a ‘slow burn’ and it can take up to 9 months to see the benefits.
The decision for cosmetic surgery should not be taken lightly. This is why Mr Banwell believes that the consultation process with him and our Concierge is so important. Regardless we are here to hold your hand throughout your journey and answer any questions you may have. That leap of faith may be anxiety-provoking but please know that we will always be here to catch you!
Probably augmentation mastopexy surgery but huge numbers of breast augmentation patients elect to add breast skin treatments to their treatment journey. However, any patient who would like to keep their breast skin looking and feeling as good as possible is suitable for treatment.
Topical skin treatments and Radiofrequency/ LED Red Light treatments are pain free and non-invasive. Of course skin boosters and injectable regenerative treatments are also a mainstay of our protocols and this involves a little discomfort. Local anaesthetic cream can also be used.
Dr Paul’s deluxe protocol involves pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative regimes. Usually 2 weeks before, during the operation and then at variable times post-operatively (2 weeks and 4 weeks).
Of course! Some treatments resonate with patients more than others. Our Genesis Prime Radiofrequency/LED light is a particular favourite as it is pain free and soothing to the skin. Combined with injectable skin boosters this provides the best opportunity to improve your breast skin.
Whilst the Genesis Prime and skin boosters will likely make your skin feel better almost immediately to create a ‘snatched’ feel, physiologically the skin will improve over a number of months following a treatment regime. Further treatments at 6 months add to the effect
